Dr. Garcia is a born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and has been a physician for over 33 years.  He attended and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with is Bachelor of Science in 1982 and graduated with a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at the Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in 1989.

He returned to his hometown and worked as an Emergency Department Physician at Northeast Methodist Hospital, worked in Internal Medicine at Solomon/Anthony Clinic and WellMed Medical Group.

He was the medical director and owner of his own practice, Ronald K Garcia, MD, PA, for nearly 20 years. He also owned his own research company, Covenant Clinical Research and was the Principal Investigator for 15 years.

He joined the Bandera family Medical Group & Village Medical in 2021 and joined BFHC research in June 2022. He is a devoted physician with extensive experience in internal medicine and hospital settings, adept in properly diagnosing and strategizing for the best patient treatment plans. Dr. Garcia is resilient, magnetic and carries a professional attitude, pledging to provide patients the best care possible. He is a strong leader who works well under pressure and in collaboration with other medical professionals.

He is a committed husband to a wonderful wife and a proud father of his son and daughter. When he is away from the office, he enjoys golf, hiking, and beautiful days at the beach with his dog.
